Cole and I went to the Library yesterday for their African American Heritage Celebration. There was an interactive reading of an African folk tale about Ashanti the Spider and the Moss Covered Rock. Cole participated and was a rhinoceros. Following the story and some dancing to African and Carribean music, we made a lion mask and an Ashanti Kente mat.
